We are a small, close-knit team with many years of experience working across the UK and the Middle East. We have chosen to focus our work on school leadership in the UAE and Middle East, combining executive search expertise, headship experience, psychology and on-the-ground regional insight.

When you work with Hume Executive Search, you work directly with the people leading your search – from first conversation to successful appointment.

Kate Hume

Founder & CEO

With nearly 30 years of close family ties to Dubai, Kate brings a rich, multigenerational understanding of the UAE. This cultural insight, combined with over 25 years of global executive search expertise, gives her a sharp understanding of what ambitious schools need — and what it takes for leaders to thrive in the region.

Much of her career was spent with leading headhunters Saxton Bampfylde, where she specialised in senior education leadership appointments across the UK and internationally. Her expertise included independent schools, international schools and multi-academy trusts. Kate is known for her highly personalised, research-led approach, often uncovering talent others may overlook – including candidates not yet actively seeking a new role, or considering the Middle East for the first time. Kate brings creative thinking to every appointment, often surprising clients with fresh ideas and high-potential candidates from beyond the usual pool.

Jenny Dwyer

Partner – Education Leadership

Jenny Dwyer brings a wealth of senior leadership experience, having been Head of two leading UK independent boarding schools (Sherborne and Priors Field) as well as Principal of an IB school in Jordan. This blend of national and international leadership gives her a unique insight into school leadership challenges worldwide.

She worked alongside Kate at Saxton Bampfylde as Head of the Schools Practice, and completed over 100 leadership appointments. Her strong networks among senior leaders are second to none, enabling her to connect schools with a wide and dynamic pool of talent.

Jenny also brings significant governance and regulatory experience. She has served as an ISI inspector and spent three years on the ISI Board. She is currently a Trustee of Sapientia Trust, where she chairs the Secondary Education Committee, and has held multiple other trustee and governor roles across both preparatory and secondary schools. Jenny continues to coach education leaders and guide schools through leadership transitions with integrity, clarity, and care.
